Reasons to Rush and Pledge Delta Sigma Phi

Introduction
At Delta Sigma Phi, we seek to enhance your college experience and thereby promote your development scholastically, culturally, and socially. We believe that our men go on to greater success after college because of the lessons learned as members. Further, the friends you make as a Delta Sig remain with you throughout your life, providing, through their diversity, a wellspring of opportunity and information by which you will continue to prosper.

Brotherhood
Delta Sigma Phi is based on loyalty. This loyalty is the key to life long membership, but more importantly life long friendship. We at Delta Sig can offer you strong ties that last beyond your time at college, and more importantly, ties which will follow you into the business world. To know that there are always people around to “lean on” is a great advantage in life.

Academics
Academic strength plays an important role at Delta Sigma Phi. We have many resources that can be taken advantage of. Brothers and alumni have past notes and exams to help you prepare for your tests. Internet sites, including this one, are great resources for research. Among the brothers at Delta Sig, we have a wide variety of majors which enable us to help and advise people in their studies. Other brothers will always be on the lookout for your academic welfare.

Social Life
Man cannot live on work alone. That is just the reason why Delta Sig provides numerous releases from the tough curriculum offered in college. Weekend socials, tailgates, and cocktails are just some of the ways Delta Sigs choose to relax. There are also many other ways to socialize within the fraternity. Our social atmosphere has much more to offer than the “classic” weekend parties and is a perfect compliment to your rigorous academic schedule.

Activities & Pride
At Delta Sigma Phi we show pride for both our fraternity and school. We have brothers in individual activities as well as group activities in which we participate as a house and brotherhood. We have a great deal of representation in campus-wide Greek leadership. Brothers are active in the Inter Fraternity Council and others serve as rush coordinators. Non-Greek roles we perform on campus include freshman orientation staff, peer educating, and other various clubs and organizations. We encourage brothers to follow their own interests such as wrestling, lacrosse, school newspaper, cycling teams, choir, overtones, or jazz band.

Our Tradition
On December 10, 1899 the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity was founded based upon the highest ideals of mankind. Its purpose was to fulfill the desire of college men for fellowship and brotherhood, accompanied by a clean, pure and honorable chapter life. Today there are 150 chapters. For almost a century we have stood strong and growing in our fraternity world. Our reputation is one of committed brothers who believe in our principles and who care about our new members.
