The weekend was a huge success and it was due to the hard work of many people. My wife and I were really glad to see everyone and to experience a great reunion and celebration. Thanks to all who worked so hard to set up this wonderful celebration. I hope we DON'T have to wait until the 100th to do it again. THANK YOU ALL.

YITBOS,

Recently relocated to Hoover, AL in August 2006. Wife Carolyn (Caggy - Alpha Gam from Class of '83) still trudging along side after 21 years.

****************************

Spring 2006 wedding of Coy McNeill to Sweet Cindy Burgage (ZETA from Class of '81) was a highlight for many this year as about 15 Brothers reunited - some after not seeing each other for 10+ years. We toured the campus and learned in the Admissions Office that there'd been drinking in our Fraternity - oh my gosh. We also learned from Brother Frega that, "there are drugs, and then there are drugs"..... Brother Miller showed up from somewhere on the left coast with a body fat per centage of -17% and bragged of his pole (vaulting) abilities. His new nickname is Sparticus (think Kirk Douglas). Brother deGroot showed up from somewhere "Deep in the Heart of Texas" and quickly returned there - but not without bringing many smiles to many faces. Brother Tobin returned from high in the Rocky Mountains near Denver where he said "we don't have no stinking bugs in Colorado".....he was promply attacked by a swarm of misquitos in Cindy's backyard after the wedding. We woke up some sleeping Sigs on Saturday morning and demanded to be taken to the Coffin. We promptly "borrowed" the Coffin and took it to the wedding at the HPU Chapel. Later the Coffin made a regal & royal entrance to the reception as several brothers carried the now 327 year old artifact on their shoulders down a candlelit path into the reception in Coy & Cindy's backyard where it was promptly filled with ice (go figure) and chilled our beers (and Spartacus) for the evening. I believe the Coffin finally made its way back to Campus late in the summer after adorning Coy & Cindy's back yard as a coffee table for several months. Brother Strong returned from Louisville and brought along the infamous "Ape Tape" - now on a CD - and we listened and laughed all over again as Brothers Gladden, Joram and Booth were lambasted for their many shortcomings. Who can forget such classics as "Blonde Ape", "Blonde Ape Be Good", "Bong Hits to Heaven", "Zero Face"......and, always a highlight, after Brother McNeill strikes a recognizable chord intro, Brother Pisano jumps out of the shadows and sings an impassioned "Hard Day's Night". The Honorable Brother Governor Hunt (finally removed from public life after serving the Great State of NC for much of his adult life) was thoroughly impressed with the abilitles shown by the earlier version of himself captured on the Ape Tape as evidenced the Sh_t Eating Grin we had to wipe off the side of his face! Brother Hawes (he's ALIVE!) visited from Maryland and proudly wore a shirt with "Lambda Chi Dad" embroidered on his chest (seems his son did not measure up) - thus making his otherwise wonderful wife Linda, the (come on now you can get this one)....."Mother of a Lambda Chi, the dirty bastard!"

****************************

I hope many of you will make the effort to visit the campus in April. The school is rockin' and we will have a wonderful time.

YITBOS......

Bassy Cussy (so named because Sparticus/Brother Miller never could spell worth a damn).

PS......Coy's new nickname (private joke that will become public in due time) is Rooster!
